The Annual Shikhumba Marathon 2025

The Annual Shikhumba Marathon, held on Saturday, 4 October 2025, once again brought together runners and community members for a day of athleticism, unity, and celebration.

This year’s event – one of the biggest early Comrades Marathon qualifiers in a rural setting – drew remarkable participation from athletes across the province. Beyond the race itself, the marathon continues to serve as a platform for community development, youth empowerment, and wellness.
