About the Role:


Mahumani Incorporated is seeking a skilled Commercial Attorney to join our dynamic team in Polokwane. If you have a flair for figures, a strong business acumen, and expertise in commercial and high court litigation, we want to hear from you!

Commercial litigation and high court litigation a flair for figures and good business understanding. Familiar with invoicing system (AJS). To collect and recover municipal assessment rates and service charges and to provide a general litigation service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Consulting and managing all corporate legal processes.

  • Contract drafting , revision and management

  • Legal service coordination

  • Drafting and typing of all legal and other documents, correspondence and reports as required by client.

  • Consult and handle all corporate legal processes (e.g. intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions, financial/securities offerings, compliance issues, transactions, agreements, lawsuits, patents)

  • Billing and Invoicing.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • LLB Admitted attorney/Practicing attorney/Right of appearance

  • 3-5 years Commercial law experience (*Must have)

  • 2-3 years of Third-Party litigation experience (*Must have)

  • Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations and legal precedents.

  • AJS, Caseline, and Court Online knowledge Must have

  • Must be Fluent in English, Xitsonga,Sotho and Zulu

LEGAL RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS
  • Research, anticipate and guard company against legal risks.

  • Guide managers and ensure compliance with rules and regulations

DEVELOP AND RETAIN NEW BUSINESS
  • Attending Court

  • Advise clients on all areas of commercial law.

  • Build trust with clients to foster long-lasting business relationships.

  • Lead merger processes and regulatory actions.

  • Legal support to clients and head of department

  • Management skills,goal orientated and target driven

  • With a stable employment record and contactable references a must  

  • Willing to commit to a minimum of 2 year employment at company

  • Team player with high integrity, values, and a positive attitude 

  • Must be an intelligent thinker (Good analytical skills)

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication and negotiations skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
