About the Role:
Mahumani Incorporated is seeking a Corporate Commercial Junior Associate to join our Pretoria office. The role involves providing comprehensive litigation services, primarily within Corporate and Commercial Law.
The ideal candidate holds an LLB Degree, is an Admitted Attorney, and is capable of managing a diverse practice. Responsibilities include handling all phases of litigation from inception to resolution, as well as attending to commercial litigation in all courts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Consulting and managing all corporate legal processes.

Manage a diverse practice and handle all phases of litigation from inception to resolution.

Attend to Commercial litigation in all courts
-
Attend Mediations, arbitrations, and Trials as required
-
Advance knowledge of civil commercial procedure, evidence, and litigation strategies
-
Advance knowledge and experience in Procurement law and litigation related thereto, enforcement of the by-laws
-
Drafting and reviewing of the by-laws
-
Ensuring that targets are met as set from time to time
-
Conduct extensive legal research and analysis to provide accurate and timely legal advice to clients;

Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery affidavits and advisory memorandums;

Professional client service and matter management.

Attending to all legal aspects of clients files and making correct and legally informed decisions

Attending court and occasionally doing their own court appearance

Performs all other related duties

Billing and Invoicing
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
-
LLB Degree, and Admitted Attorney
-
Must have right of appearance in High court
-
Minimum 3 years post admission litigation
-
Minimum 3 years of Government Regulatory Framework (PFMA and MFMA) and
-
minimum of 3 years Commercial and Corporate and Alternative Dispute Resolutions, which may include but may not be limited to:
- Administrative law, constitutional law, municipal law and contractual law
- Local & National Government Regulatory Framework
- Environmental law

Caseline, and Court Online knowledge

Fluent in English
