Conveyancing Secretary

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Legal Administration support,drafting contracts, compiling reports, and data capturing

  • Taking instructions and the ability to execute instructions from receipt to conclusion with minimal professional supervision.

  • Preparing files accurately and according to specifications.

  • Conducting property, person and company searches.

  • Following up to ensure the FICA requirements are complied with.

  • Drawing transfer documents.

  • Reporting and liaising with clients.

  • Ensuring that the filing system is kept up to date (hard copy and electronic).

  • Preparing and settling invoices and engaging with clients regarding invoices; and

  • Attendance to deeds office to lodge and liaise with conveyancer to execute. 

  • Opening files and organising same.

  • Maintains or protects NN Mahumani Inc. by keeping information private and confidential

  • Ensure clients are satisfied with service delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Grade 12 / N3 or equivalent. 

  • 2 - 3 years' experience as a Conveyancing Secretary with transfers, bonds and cancellations

  • Legal secretary/ Conveyancing qualification advantageous

  • Advanced level of Microsoft literacy

  • Understand all major banks bond requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of conveyancing software/systems such as

  • Lexis Convey ,AJS (any equivalent bookkeeping system)

  • Typing speed of 50 wpm is required
